Former UGA star QB David Greene makes successful transition from sports to business
David Greene has a story to tell, and it's getting better all the time.
Greene and his wife of nearly 11 years, Veronica, are expecting their third child in June. Jordan, 9, and Barrett, 6, will welcome another brother to their home in Grayson, near Greene's hometown of Snellville in Gwinnett County.
Greene, 35 in June, is a client executive with Savannah-based Seacrest Partners Inc., a privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm. Seacrest, which has offices in Atlanta where Greene works, as well as on Hilton Head Island, S.C., announced earlier this month that it will merge with Atlanta-based Sterling Risk Advisors Inc., effective July 1. A larger, stronger firm that can better help its clients will be the result, the two companies' presidents said.

David Norman Greene (born June 22, 1982) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. Green was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2005 NFL draft. He was also a member of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Indianapolis Colts. He retired following the 2008 season, having never played in a regular season game.

In football, he led his team to two consecutive playoff appearances and as a senior, he completed 134 passes out of 227 pass attempts (59.0 completion percentage) for 2,102 yards, and 19 touchdowns, and earned USA Today All-USA Honor

Green has not developed as hoped and this could be his make-or-break year. His only job will again be holding a clipboard, but if he ever became a dependable backup, it could free Seneca efternamn to move to wideout where his athleticism could actually be utilized.
