No stranger to competitions, Dina Garipova was the winner of The Voice in Russia, triumphing in the final after an incredible 1 million public votes. It was off the back of this talent and popularity that Russian Broadcaster kanal One, chose Dina as their Eurovision hopeful in 2013.

Dina Garipova
Born in the Republic of Tatarstan in 1991 Dina’s music lessons began at the age of six, and soon after so did her success in singing competitions’, winning the Firebird Russian National Song Contest in 1999, the Republican Festival Constellation in 2001 and the International Contest in Estonia in 2005.
On her participation in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, Dina says: “I’d worthily like to represent my country at the Eurovision Song Contest, to sing the song in such a manner that would touch people’s hearts”.

Dina Garipova was born 22 years ago in the city of Zelenodolsk in the Republic of Tatarstan to a family of physicians. She has been fascinated by music since early childhood and from the age of six she took classes in singing.
Throughout her short career, she has won several music competitions such as the Firebird Russian National Song Contest in 1999, the Republican Festival "Constellation" in 2001 or the International Contest in Estonia in 2005. As a member of the Golden Microphone Theatre she participated at the International Contest in France where their musical won the Grand Prix. In 2010 she performed her first solo concert which took place in her hometown Zelenodolsk.
In 2012 Dina emerged as winner of the reality talent show The Voice of Russia where Dima Bilan was one of the four coaches. As a winner of the show, she received the main prize which was a contract with one of the largest music corporations in the world, Universal Music. Now,

Dina Garipova is a Russian singer of Tatar descent who came to fame in 2012 after she won Golos, the national syndication of The Voice. To date, she has released one studio album.
She was internally selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö with the song, "What If". She successfully qualified from the first semi-final and finished in 5th place with 174 points.
