Coming from an Australian acting dynasty, Olivia Deeble had her work cut out to put her own stamp on the industry but having landed a role in the latest Disney+ blockbuster, she is certainly branching out! The Secret Society of Second Royals is the most recent franchise that Disney has come up with, and we spoke to Olivia about gaining this coveted role and what she hopes her future will look like.
She has been referred to as the ‘next Margot Robbie’ and it is not hard to see why. Having completed a three-year-long stint in Home and Away, she now has her sights set on Hollywood. Olivia tells us that the call informing her that she got the Disney+ role came the day after she moved back to Melbourne, having completed her Home and Away contract, “I wanted the role so badly that I cried when I found out. I didn’t even unpack my bags from Sydney and I was straight on a plane from Melbourne to Toronto!”

Olivia Lillian Deeble (born 4 August 2002) is an Australian actress and writer. She is known for her roles in the ABC Me series Little Lunch (2015–2016), the Seven Network soap opera Home and Away (2016–2019), and the Disney+ film Secret Society of Second-Born Royals (2020). She co-created and starred in the Paramount+ drama More Than This (2022).
Early life
Deeble is from Balwyn, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne. She is the daughter of actress Kate Gorman, and the granddaughter of actors Reg Gorman and Judith Roberts. She moved in with her grandparents in Sydney when she won her role on Home and Away, visiting home twice a month. She has a sister, Matilda, and a brother, Ewan.

Olivia Deeble has always been fascinated with telling stories. Coming from a family with thespian roots – two of her grandparents and her mother starred in TV shows – it was only natural that Deeble would follow suit, telling her stories through acting. She started her journey as a spunky kid on the playground in Little Lunch, then as a teenager going through dramatic ups and downs on the Australian TV soap musikdrama Home & Away, and soon, she’ll deliver an exciting new story as a Disney princess with superpowers. Alongside the likes of Peyton Elizabeth Lee and Skylar Astin, Deeble is set to star as Roxana in Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, premiering September 25 on Disney+.
