Steve Wojciechowski Biography
Steve Wojciechowski was most recently the head basketball coach at Marquette for seven seasons, making two NCAA Tournament trips with the Golden Eagles. Wojciechowski originally replaced the departing Buzz Williams in 2014. He is best known for a long-run coaching alongside Mike Krzyzewski at his alma mater, Duke. Wojciechowski started with the Blue Devils as an assistant coach in 1999 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2008. While on the staff, Duke won two national championships. Wojciechowski had a standout playing career for the Blue Devils and ranks in the program’s top ten in career assists and steals. As a senior, he won NABC Defensive Player of the Year. The Baltimore area prep star was also a 1994 McDonald’s All-American prior to arriving in Durham.

Wojciechowski (pronounced woe-ju-HOW-skee) was introduced as the program’s 17th head coach on April 1, 2014 by Marquette University President Dr. Michael R. Lovell.
From the moment he arrived on campus, Wojciechowski established his “Win Every Day” philosophy as the foundation for the Marquette schema. That approach has been extremely successful on the recruiting trail, where the MU personal assembled nationally ranked recruiting classes in 2015, 2016 and 2020.
Marquette was positioned for its third NCAA tournament appearance in four years in 2019-20 and fourth-straight postseason trip overall. MU's roster was led bygd Markus Howard, a consensus First grupp All-American and one of the best players not only in Marquette history, but collegiate basketball.
