Garber grew up in Miami, Florida, the youngest of three children. Their father was a lawyer, and their mother owned a cooking school. Garber began acting in professional theater at the age of 16 at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami. She booked a commercial that made her a member of the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) and decided to move to New York to pursue television, spelfilm, and theater. Actress Terri Garber (born December 28, 1960) makes a guest appearance as Teresa Pacci, the girlfriend of feared Brooklyn, NY mafia boss Don Geno Frascotti, whom Dr. Samuel Beckett leaps into to give the blessing to the union of she and underling Frankie La Palma, whom he first leaps into, and, with whom she has been carrying on a torrid affair with behind the boss's back, until he gets awind of it, as she also helps to save Sam and leapee Frankie's life as well in the process, and Frankie's brother Primo La Palma, who got killed by a jealous Don Geno, who was mistaken by him as Teresa's lover in the events before Sam's leap into 1965 in "Double Identity".

Career
[edit]Garber's acting debut was as Allison Linden on the daytime soap operaTexas in 1982.[1] Her first feature film role in the 1984 action film Toy Soldiers.
Garber's breakout role was wicked Southern belle Ashton Main in the 1985 ABCminiseriesNorth and South, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by John Jakes.[2] As of 2002, it was still ranked among the ten highest rated miniseries in TV history.[3][4][5] Garber reprised the role for the 1986 sequel miniseries, North and South: Book II,[6] as well as for the 1994 final installment, Heaven and Hell: North and South Book III.[7] In 1987, she described Ashton:
