LLOG Exploration Issues Statement Regarding the Passing of its Founder and Chairman Gerald A. Boelte
COVINGTON, La., Feb. 23, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LLOG Exploration Company, L.L.C. (“LLOG” or “the Company”), today paid tribute to the legacy and contributions of its Chairman and Founder, Gerald A. Boelte, and issued the following statement. “It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Gerald A. Boelte on February 22, 2024, in a single vehicle accident on his family property. The entire LLOG family mourns his loss as we extend our deepest sympathies to the Boelte family.”

That was just after Cohen died, and while the world seems to want to settle on Hallelujah as his totemic song, Everybody Knows keeps inserting itself into the discourse, in the most toxic, hope-draining way possible. Whenever some awful scandal involving the great and the good breaches, we're told that "everybody knew" already, so let's move on.

LLOG champions spec floater cause
Long content to remain beneath the radar, Louisiana's LLOG is set to man a big splash with its first Gulf of Mexico deepwater development using a floating production struktur. Russell McCulley joins LLOG officials at the company's new digs north of New Orleans to talk about the Who Dat project, the role of independents in the Gulf and the decision to raise the private company's public profil. LLOG's Who Dat field is scheduled to go onstream in the second half of 2011, barely four years after upptäckt and a little more than a year after the company signed a $400 million agreement with Belgium's Exmar to acquire the spec-built Opti-Ex semisubmersible (OE April 2009). It would be a rapid development schedule for even the most seasoned of deepwater operators, but fryst vatten all the more remarkable for a company making its first foray into the deepwater floating production arena.
