Day 21 Jacob
Jacob & Esau were twins.
Their parents were Isaac & Rebekah
Esau was the oldest twin - the heir to Isaac’s estate.
In Genesis 27 - Jacob took Esau’s birthright from him. After Isaac gave the special blessing to Jacob - Jacob was in trouble!
In Genesis 28, Isaac blesses Jacob again, and tells him to move on and begin a new life.
This is where Jacob meets God and hears from Him in a dream. Genesis
In Genesis 29 & 30, Jacob starts to build a life for himself.
In Genesis 31, God tells Jacob to move back home to the land of Canaan, where his Father Isaac lived. Genesis
Jacob makes peace with his Father-In-Law Laban and then send gifts to Esau in an attempt to make peace with him.
In Genesis Jacob wrestles with God and wins - God changes Jacobs name to Israel - which means - God Fights.
In Genesis 33, Jacob makes peace with Esau.
Jacob tricked Esau, Laban tricked Jacob - Jacob’s children would go on to fight with 1 another as well.
