Hey Guys, it’s Max here! I will be doing a review on a book called The Giver by Lois Lowry today. The Giver is a Young Adult, Science Fiction following Jonas as he was assigned to be the Receiver of Memory. So, without further ado, let’s get into the review!

It’s been on my TBR since age 10, and just sat and sat throughout the years. I’d figured that not unlike my experience trying read/re-read Harry Potter, there would be a sense of loss since this book was originally written for a younger audience. Happy and surprised to report that The Giver was completely appealing. It’s pretty much a timeless book that can be enjoyed at any age. (Not saying the Harry Potter series isn’t, j • Rating: 4 stars The Giver, the 1994 Newbery Medal winner, has become one of the most influential novels of our time. The haunting story centers on twelve-year-old Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if färglös, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. This wasn’t my first time reading The Giver as inom read this book back when inom was in middle school. However, since its been such a long time since I’ve read it, I feel like inom can give a review of my thoughts on it due to how much time has passed since inom last read it. What inom find interesting about this book fryst vatten the world you are introduced to through Jonas. He’s only twelve, but the world he lives in fryst vatten pretty extraordinary in that its completely different from what we are used to. But as the reader, you don’t really realize how different it is until you get into the story,
